These are my notes loading and decompiling the Kenwood TH-D74 firmware, which Hash (@BitBangingBytes) managed to dump the BGA Flash ROM of a damaged radio.With a little luck and some other volunteers, this might lead to something like md380tools or OpenGD77, allowing custom software to run within the TH-D74 for decoding new digital protocols, storing a repeater database on the SD Card,. However, when I click on the COM Port window down arrow in the TH-D74 Firmware Updater (V1.10), it is blank. As a side note, when I click on Help button in the TH-D74 Firmware Updater (V1.10) the Kenwood TH-D74 Firmware Updater Help window appears with the Topics listed however, double clicking on a topic has no effect. 73, Richard, AG7RV. The Kenwood TH-D74 OEM software is not bad. But, I wanted to easily transfer programming data from my Yaesu to the TH-D74. RT systems is the way to go to do that. I ordered the RT Systems software and when I opened it was the wrong software but it was labeled correctly. I e-mailed MTC about it around 6:00 PM. ARFC-D74 is a software, with a connection between the TH-D74A/E transceiver and your PC, allowing you to control from your PC the receive frequency for operation in IF/Detect Output Mode by the transceiver.
This software and TH-D74A/E transceiver can be connected using a Micro-USB cable or the Bluetooth function.About virtual COM port driver for the TH-D74
A virtual COM port driver needs to be installed onto the PC to use the ARFC-D74ATTENTION:Do not connect the transceiver to a PC before installing the virtual COM port driver.Operating Environments

Windows® 7 (SP1 or later) (32-bit or 64-bit) Windows® 8.1 (RTM or later) (32-bit or 64-bit) Windows® 10 (Version 1511 (OS Build 10586.0) or later) (32-bit or 64-bit)

This software is designed to run on the above operating systems.
Applicable operating systems are subject to change without notice due to the end of the technical support by Microsoft Corporation or change of the product specifications.
The .NET Framework 4.6 which is available for download from Microsoft download center must also be installed. (Windows® 10 users do not need to install the .NET Framework.).
2. Processor
Faster than the recommended CPU for each OS.
3. System Memory (RAM)
Larger than the recommended System Memory for each OS.
4. Free Hard Drive Space
100 MB or more of free hard drive space.
5. Peripheral Devices
A display with resolutions higher than SXGA (1280 x 1024).
A keyboard and a mouse, or other pointing devices.
USB 2.0 port or Bluetooth function that conforms to SPP (Serial Port Profile).Attention
With this software, you cannot directly increment or decrement the receive frequency for reception by the TH-D74A/E transceiver while the transceiver is operative in AF Output Mode.
Since the software is for operation in IF/Detect Output Mode, the TH-D74A/E’s Squelch is always opened while the software is connected to the TH-D74A/E.
Turn the transceiver OFF before connecting it to a PC.
You cannot connect the TH-D74A/E to a PC COM port via an RS-232C cable.Notes on usage

Extract the downloaded file ’ARFC-D74_V101.zip’ into a designated folder. In the designated folder, a folder labeled ’ARFC-D74_V101’ will be created. Execute the ’setup.exe’ in the folder labeled ’ARFC-D74_V101’, and follow the instructions that appear on the display to install ARFC-D74.
Note:
Administrator privileges are required when installing the ARFC-D74.Uninstalling the ARFC-D74
Select ’ARFC-D74’ in ’Uninstall a program’ in the Control Panel and follow the instructions that appear on the display to uninstall the software. Or double-click ’setup.exe’, and follow the instructions that appear on the display to uninstall the software.
Notes:
Administrative privileges are required to uninstall the ARFC-D74.
Always exit the ARFC-D74 before uninstalling the software.Update History

DirectX 1-11 to OpenGL wrapper. Checkbook hd for mac. The WineD3DOnWindows project appears to be dead, so I decided to build WineD3D on MS Windows myself and release the binaries. I hereby swear to keep this project updated until the day of my death. I use PlayOnLinux and Wine for my limited gaming needs as they were and was wondering is there is a way to aquire an install of directX 10 or even 11? I have a Dragon Age Oigins/Awaking disk set and at some point during a previous install it prompted to install DirectX 11 and I did, and other games like Second Life played WAY better and looked better than what comes with Wine (DirectX 9) I am aware that 9 is free now, i just wonder if there is a way to get it without using my Dragon Age disk, because I can’t do it again for some reason. At the time I unmounted the Awakening disk and mounted again, and opened my disk drive and closed it, I guess I just got lucky I’m not sure exactly how it read the disk then and won’t do it now far enough to get to the DirectX 11 setup. Do you have to pay for 10 and 11? I get my PhsX the same way and it works fine. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
